The Training and Scholarships General Department Opens Nomination for the Second Phase of External Scholarships

The Training and Scholarships General Department, at the Ministry of Health (MOH), has announced the start of nomination for the second phase of external scholarships for its Saudi employees (civil service and self-employment staff) for the year 1436H/2015 for obtaining BA, Master’s degree and PhD within the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques' Program of Foreign Scholarship.
 
This comes in line with the MOH's strategy aimed to create qualified national cadres capable of providing high-quality health services. The department explained that receiving nomination requests will start, Allah willing, on Shaaban 14th, 1436H, corresponding to June 1st, 2015, and will last for two months.
 
Within the same vein, the department called upon the employees willing to get a scholarship to obtain approval from one of the universities accredited by the Ministry of Higher Education and to submit their requests electronically through their personal accounts on the MOH portal .This phase allows applying for external scholarships in different scientific specialties and grades electronically.
 
In this regard, the Deputy Minister of Health for Human Capital Planning and Development, Dr. Emad bin Ali Al-Jahdali, explained that the announcement comes in continuation of the ministry's keenness on developing skills of its manpower and human capital as a fundamental axis and a strategic objective stemming from the conviction of the department's officials that improving health services can only be achieved through qualified and trained cadres capable of keeping pace with the rapid development in the field of health services.
 
It's worth noting here that the seats allocated for external scholarships cover a variety of administrative, engineering, health and medical specialties, in a manner which contributes to achieving the ministry's requirements and ensures balanced distribution amongst all regions and provinces.
