Director General of Riyadh Health Affairs Directorate Inaugurates the 6th PARS Conference in Riyadh

Under the auspices of His Excellency the Minister of Health, Eng. Khalid bin Abdulaziz Al-Falih, the Director General of Riyadh Health Affairs Directorate, Dr. Adnan Al-Abdulkrim, has inaugurated the 6th PARS Conference today morning (Wednesday, December 2nd, 2015, corresponding to Safar 20th, 1437), in Riyadh. The conference was organized by the Pan Arab Rhinology Society (PARS), in cooperation with the Saudi Otorhinolaryngology Society, King Saud University (KSU) and King Salman Hospital (KSH).
 
In his speech during the opening ceremony, the Conference President, Dr. Ali Ibrahim Al-Amri, said: “PARS has shown excellence in enriching information and experiences with regard to specialization and publishing scientific researches. It also has achieved the desired objectives in Arab gathering under one scientific umbrella.”
 
He added that PARS has several objectives, including keeping up-to-date with what is new in the specialty domain, participating in international forums by research papers and discussions, and developing the skills and knowledge of physicians specialized in this field; by means of benefiting from local and international experts. He went on saying that the conference will witness the participation of more than 97 speakers from foreign countries, including the United States, Canada, Norway, Italy, the United Kingdom, Turkey, Azerbaijan, India, and some Arab and Gulf countries, in addition to highly qualified‎ local speakers. Furthermore, Al-Amri indicated that 27 Continuing Medical Education (CME) hours will be accredited, by the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties (SCFHS), for health practitioners participating in the conference. Besides, the conference, which witnessed a significant number of health professional attendees, will run until tomorrow (Thursday).
 
It's worth mentioning that the conference comprised a number of scientific lectures and workshops, including a lecture entitled: “Multiple Ways to Reach Skull Base” delivered by Dr. ‎Paulo Casselnofo from Italy, a lecture by Dr. Tasca from Italy about his own way in Rhinoplasty‎, a lecture by Dr. Mathiorian from America about his experience in allergic fungal sinusitis, in addition to a lecture by Dr. Amin Ja‘ffer from Canada entitled: “Future Therapies for Chronic Sinus Infections”.
