His Excellency the Minister of Health, Eng. Khalid bin Abdulaziz Al-Falih, inspected today services provided by medical, nursing and technical teams for the pilgrims injured in Mina stampede incident.
Eng. Al-Falih, who was accompanied by the Vice Minister of Health, Mr. Hamad bin Muhammad Al-Dowaila, checked on the processes of receiving cases at Mina Emergency Hospital and providing ambulatory and medical services for them. All the hospital’s sections, human cadres and ambulatory potentials were placed on high alert to treat the injured and move the bodies of pilgrims, who died immediately after arrival at the hospital, to the morgue.
Eng. Al-Falih expressed his deep sorrow at this incident, which left hundreds of pilgrims injured and dead, praying for Allah, the Almighty, to forgive the diseased pilgrims and heal the injured.
“All hospitals in the Holy Sites and Makkah have put their medical and nursing cadres on alert to treat the injured as soon as possible,” Eng. Al-Falih said, praising efforts exerted by the other health sectors in cooperation and coordination with the MOH.
