The Ministry of Health (MOH) keeps on intensifying its preparations for this year's Hajj season, whereas the Hajj Preparatory Committees held a meeting yesterday (Monday) at Jeddah province under the chairmanship of His Excellency the Deputy Minister of Health for Human Capital Planning and Development, Dr. Emad bin Ali Al-Jahdali.
The meeting reviewed reports of workflow at the different Hajj committees and preparations of the health facilities at Makkah and Madinah regions. Meanwhile, the participants in the meeting underlined the importance of intensifying awareness programs for pilgrims on how to deal with and avoid sunstrokes and heat stress at all MOH's facilities in the holy sites.
Within the same vein, the meeting also reviewed the possibility of making use of the vertical flights in the government sectors for transporting patients and emergency cases, as well as tackling operation plans of health facilities at Makkah, the holy sites, and the central area in Madinah, particularly the central area around the Prophet Mosque.
It's noteworthy that this meeting comes within the MOH preparations for this year's Hajj season in an endeavor to provide the best healthcare for the pilgrims.
