Dr. Suhail Ba-Jamal Named Director of KAMC in Makkah

His Excellency the Acting Minister of Health, Eng. Adel bin Muhammad Faqih, has issued today a ministerial resolution mandating Dr. Suhail Salem Ba-Jamal to undertake the tasks and responsibilities as the Director of King Abdullah Medical City (KAMC) in Makkah for one year, as of the date of adopting this resolution. Thus, Dr. Ba-Jamal superseded Dr. Yasin Muhammad Malawi, who was designated as a consultant physician in KAMC. On this occasion, it didn’t escape Eng. Faqih’s notice to thank Dr. Malawi, and laud his strenuous efforts during his work tenure.
 
This resolution comes within the framework of the MOH’s trends to developing its administrative output, and rotate the senior positions; with a view to pushing the development wheel and upgrading the technical and administrative work, as well as attracting the varied experiences that cover as much of the comprehensive services provided to citizens as possible.
 
It is worth mentioning that Dr. Ba-Jamal used to work as the Acting Co-CEO of the Executive Management for Academic Affairs, Training and Research at King Abdullah Medical City (KAMC). He got MBBS with honor degree from King Abdulaziz University (KAU); that is to be added to the Canadian Fellowship (Board) in Orthopedics from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (RCPSC). Furthermore, he is a holder of the master's degree in health research methodology, and a PhD candidate in medical education. Dr. Ba-Jamal joined the surgery department, as an assistant professor, in the Faculty of Medicine, Umm Al-Qura University in December, 2009, and worked as a consultant to Wadi Makkah Company for Technology in the field of health innovation and vital medical research in October 2014. Besides, he served as the Deputy Dean for Graduate Studies and Scientific Research, and as a Deputy Dean for Academic Development and Community Service at the Faculty of Dentistry, Umm Al-Qura University, in 2013.
