15 CME Hours Accredited for Participants in the 8th Health Awareness Symposium

Under the auspices of His Excellency the Acting Minister of Health, Eng. Adel bin Muhammad Faqih, the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties (SCHS) has accredited 15 hours of continuing medical education (CME) for participants in the 8th Health Awareness Symposium, which will be organized by King Khalid Eye Specialist Hospital, in collaboration with MOH's Relations, Media and Health Awareness General Department, and the Charitable Society for Health Awareness "Hayatona", on Wednesday and Thursday, October 29th - 30th, 2014 (corresponding to 5th – 6th Muharram, 1436H).
 
The MOH Spokesman and Advisor to the Minister of Health, Dr. Khalid Marghalani, has pointed out that the symposium will be attended by an elite of participants (totaled 23) from inside and outside the Kingdom, including Bahrain, Egypt, the United Kingdom, the United States and Ireland. A high-profile constellation of speakers will take part as well, most notably Prof. Dr. Salman Rawaf, Professor of the Public Health and Director of WHO Collaborating Centre at the University of Imperial College, London, UK, Dr. Fayez Al-Shehri, Member of the Shura Council and Professor of the New Media, Prof. Dr. Tawfiq Khoja, Director-General of the Executive Board of the GCC Health Ministers Council, Dr. Muhannad Hammami, Head of the Health Operations at Health and Human Services Department in Wayne County Michigan, USA, Dr. Amal Jowder, Director of the Health Promotion Department at the Ministry of Health in Bahrain, and Dr. Yusuf Al-Balawi, Specialist in the Public Health and PhD Candidate at the National University of Ireland (NUI) in Ireland.
