17 September 2014
His Excellency the Acting Minister of Health, Eng. Adel bin Mohamed Faqih, has reassured the citizens, residents and pilgrims that, thanks be to Allah, the health situation of the pilgrims is good; no epidemic or pandemic cases have been detected among them thus far. “The Ministry has taken all the precautions and preventive measures for protecting the pilgrims, and having a Hajj season free from diseases and epidemics, Allah willing.” Meanwhile, he affirmed that the MOH utilities are fully ready to provide preventive, therapeutic and ambulatory services to the 'guest of Allah' (pilgrims) over this year's Hajj season (1435H). Such services, according to the Minister, are to be offered by the hospitals and primary healthcare centers spread across Makkah, Madinah and the Holy Sites.

He said, "As per the directives of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Abdullah bin Abdul Aziz, Allah bless him, the MOH has mobilized its human, technical and medical capacities for providing the level of services that pilgrims aptly deserve, through a health plan that takes into account the health conditions in the countries from which the pilgrims come."

Concluding his statement, the Acting Minister of Health has welcomed the Guests of Allah, pointing that “the KSA is honored to offer best-quality services for them every year, by ensuring close cooperation and coordination between the various government departments and authorities, with the aim of facilitating the pilgrims' performance of the fifth pillar of Islam in a healthy atmosphere, until they return to their home countries healthy and safe, Allah willing.”
