MOH to Launch its Health Awareness Program: (Pilgrims' Health is Our Concern) Next Sunday

As part of the continued health awareness activities launched by the Ministry of Health (MOH), and within the framework of its efforts to maintain the health and safety of pilgrims, citizens and residents, and to provide them with health tips and medical instructions, the MOH's Media and Health Awareness Information Center is to launch its health awareness program dubbed: (Pilgrims' Health is Our Concern) next Sunday, September 14th, 2014 (corresponding to Dhul-Qi‘dah 19th, 1435H), for the eleventh consecutive year via the toll-free number: 8002494444; and through the MOH's account on Twitter: @SAUDIMOH.
 
The center is to host daily for two consecutive weeks, Allah willing, an elite of senior consultants and specialists in various health specialties; in order to answer all calls and the inquiries of those people wishing to perform Hajj this year, and to brief them on the main health requirements to be met by pilgrims as well as the guidelines and awareness tips to be followed before, during and even after performing Hajj.
 
During the first week, the Center is to host Dr. Mona Al-‘Awwad, a Consultant Obstetrician and Gynecologist, on Sunday, September 14th, 2014 (corresponding to Dhul-Qi‘dah 19th, 1435H), from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.; in order to provide pregnant women, especially those seeking to perform Hajj, with the most important health tips that must be adhered to before and during performing Hajj.
 
On Monday, September 15th, 2014 (corresponding to Dhul-Qi‘dah 20th, 1435H), the center will host Dr. Khaled Al-Nemr, a Consultant in Cardiology, Arterial Catheterization and Tomography and Nuclear Imaging, from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.; to answer all inquiries of the cardiac patients, especially those seeking to perform Hajj this year for the first time, even though the health problems they suffer.
 
Moreover, the center will host the Therapeutic Nutritionist, Ms. Maha Al-Assaf, on Tuesday, September 16th, 2014 (corresponding to Dhul-Qi‘dah21st, 1435H),  from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.; in order to provide the pilgrims with a healthy balanced diet, that should be followed during performing Hajj, to help them avoid a lot of health problems, such as food poisoning, constipation and indigestion, etc., which may impede their movement and prevent them from carrying out the rituals easily and smoothly.
 
Also, the center will host Dr. Nesreen Al-Sherbieny, a Consultant in Infectious Diseases and Fever, on Wednesday, September 17th , 2014 (corresponding to Dhul-Qi‘dah 22nd, 1435H),  from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.; in order to answer all pilgrims’ inquiries concerning ways to avoid viruses and infectious diseases.
 
By the end of the week, the center will keep on its health awareness program and host Dr. Ahmad Al-Abdullah, an Orthodontics and  Maxillofacial Consultant, on Thursday, September 18th, 2014 (corresponding to Dhul-Qi‘dah 23rd, 1435H), from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.; in order to answer all inquiries on orthodontics and dental problems.
 
It is worth mentioning that the female specialists at MOH's Media and Health Information Center will be fully ready around the clock, throughout the working days, to provide the pilgrims and their families, via the toll-free number: 8002494444; and through the MOH's account on Twitter: @SAUDIMOH, with the health tips on the importance of adhering to the basic vaccinations and medical prescriptions on their due times, along with the other health issues that concern them. This comes as part of the MOH's endeavors to help them, Allah willing, perform the Hajj rituals easily, smoothly and safely.
