MOH Abolishes the Condition of Distance between Pharmacies

The Ministry of Health has issued a resolution, abolishing the condition of distance between pharmacies while considering the new pharmacies’ license requests, location change requests or ownership transfer requests.
 
His Excellency the Acting Minister of Health, Eng. Adel bin Muhammad Faqih, has given his orders to the directors of health affairs all over the Kingdom’s regions and governorates, to embark on applying the new resolution, starting from 1st June, 2014 (corresponding to 4th Ramadan, 1435H), given that the distance between pharmacies was previously prescribed by the Ministry to be about 250 meters from all directions.
 
It is worth mentioning that this new resolution came in response to the proposals of the pharmacies owners; in an endeavor to achieve the public interest, which contributes to the citizen’s service and provides him with all aspects of health care.
