Eng. Faqih Issues a Resolution Mandating Al-Dowaile' as the CEO of King Abdullah Medical Complex

His Excellency the Acting Minister of Health, Eng. Adel bin Muhammad Faqih, has issued a resolution mandating Mr. Hamad bin Ali Al-Dowaile', as the CEO of King Abdullah Medical Complex in north Jeddah. This resolution comes as part of the Ministry of Health’s (MOH) efforts to accelerate the operation of the Complex, deemed to be one of the main centers for controlling the Middle East Respiratory Syndrome-Corona Virus (MERS-CoV).
 
It is worth mentioning that Mr. Hamad bin Muhammad Al-Dowaile is one of the managerial competencies in the health sector. He has got the Bachelor of Pharmacy (BPharm) from King Saud University in Riyadh in 1979, and the MBA in Hospitals Management from Arizona University, USA, in 1988. He worked as the Director General of Health Services at Aramco for 29 years (1981-2009). Besides, he has worked as the Secretary-General and Executive Director of the Saudi Food Bank -ITA'AM. Moreover, he is a member in a number of charitable associations, being under construction. He is also a board member of the Saudi Food Bank -ITA'AM, Saud Al-Babtain Cardiac Center and Al-Ahsa Medical Services Company.
 
Within the same vein, the new board of the complex is currently harnessing all its capabilities to reformat the IC unit, and make it as isolation rooms, fully equipped with the medical devices and staff; in an endeavor to receive all Corona cases in the region. The board also plans to prepare and equip this great edifice in the near future, to be a model in providing the specialized medical services to all society members.
 
It should be noted that King Abdullah Medical Complex comprises a main hospital with a total bed capacity of 500 beds and is established on an area of 266 m2. The complex comprises also a maternity and children hospital with a total bed capacity of 400 beds, being under construction, in addition to an eye hospital with a total bed capacity of 200 beds, whose construction tender is to be offered soon.
