The MOH Portal has scored a deserved victory at the level of Arabic websites. It won the Best Website Award. Starting in 2001, the award is an annually awarded granted by a non-profit organization. It comes within the framework of HRH Sheikh Sal al-Ali al-Subah Information Award. There were 701 websites participating in, and competing on the award, to be evaluated by 30 arbitrators from Kuwait and other Arab countries.
The MOH Portal was announced winner of the award on Monday, May 5, 2014, in Kuwait. In addition, it won the Golden Award for Ministries at the 11th Session of the Arabic Websites Excellence Awards, organized by the Arabic Websites Academy, in collaboration with the Pan Arab Web Awards. The award was handed out in a ceremony organized on this occasion in Dubai, UAE, on Tuesday, April 29, 2014, to Eng. Rayan al-Fayez, Director of the MOH Portal and e-Transactions, in the presence of Mr. Walaa Khaiat, the Director of Business Development.
Over and above, the MOH Portal won a third award, announced during the ceremony; that is the Best Arabic Website Award 2014. Participants in the award were as many as 325 from several Arab countries. These three awards culminate the ongoing, unstinting efforts exerted by the ICT staff at the Ministry of Health, especially the MOH Portal and e-Transactions team.
On this occasion, the Advisor to the Minister of Health and Supervisor General of ICT, His Excellency Dr. Abdullah bin Ahmed al-Weheibi, extended thanks and congratulations to His Excellency the Minister of Health, Eng. Adel Faqih, and his two vice-ministers, for accomplishing such a success at the Arab level, in a manner that benefits our Kingdom, and prompts us towards greater progress in terms of the Kingdom's health sector.
For his part, Eng. Rayan al-Fayez, Director of the MOH Portal and e-Transactions, extended thanks and congratulations to all the ICT staff, especially the MOH Portal and e-Transactions team. Eng. al-Fayez was quoted as saying, “This award is an additional success of which we are very proud. It encourages us to maintain this level, and exert even greater effort, in an endeavor to push the Ministry forward for further success in all domains, in a manner that reflects, at the end of the day, an honorable image of our ministry, and our country.”
