Dr. Al-Hemaidi Urges Hospitals’ Managers to Conduct Field Inspection Tours

The Deputy Minister of Health for Curative Services, Dr. Abdulaziz Al-Hemaidi, has urged all mangers of the Kingdom’s hospitals to conduct field inspection tours through their hospitals; in an endeavor to meet the patients' needs, and find the appropriate solutions to the obstacles facing them. Besides, he has called upon these managers to work on achieving the MOH's motto: "Patient First".
 
This has been announced yesterday by Dr. Al-Hemaidi, during his inauguration of the training course entitled: “Concepts of Medical Management”, aiming at honing the skills of hospitals’ managers. The training course was organized by the Hospitals General Department, in collaboration with the Training and Scholarship General Department. Moreover, Dr. Asiri has underlined the importance of this course for promoting the skills of hospitals’ managers and ways of dealing with the obstacles they may face in hospitals.
 
For his part, the Director General of Hospitals, Dr. Abdulaziz bin Hamed Al-Ghamdi, has pointed out that this training course came within the framework of the MOH’s efforts to promote the performance level at the Kingdom’s hospitals, and as part of its Integrated Training Plan for honing the skills of hospitals’ managers, by means of providing them with fundamentals of hospitals management, as well as promoting their management skills, by recognizing ways to improve and develop the performance and the basic principles of health care quality, aside from improving the health  services quality. Al-Ghamdi indicated that this training course also aimed at enhancing the basic skills of directors of risk management and patient safety, and resources and services in the hospital. “A number of workshops will be held for leaders and general managers of the MOH main departments, to answer their queries and provide them with the main tasks of these departments, as well as solving problems, that the hospitals’ managers may face,” said Dr. Al-Ghamdi.
 
He went on adding that 26 directors from 12 health affairs general directorates participated in this training course, given that another one will be held for other health affairs general directorates. Furthermore, Dr. Al-Ghamdi has expounded that a constellation of trainers specialized in hospitals management and human development will deliver this training course, with the participation of a number of MOH general directors in a workshop; in order to provide the hospitals mangers with necessary remarks and guidelines, aside from answering their queries.
