The Ministry of Health (MOH), represented by the Assistant Deputy Minister for Health Economics Dr. Saleh bin Ibrahim Al-Sehibani, has participated in the GCC-Germany Business and Investment Forum, which has been held over the period from 11th to 13th March, 2014 (corresponding to 10th to 12th Jumada Al-Akherah, 1435 H). in Berlin, Germany.
During the session dedicated to the health sector in the GCC states, Dr. Al-Sehibani has presented a worksheet on “Growth in the Saudi Health Sector”, in which he shed light on the promising health-related investment opportunities, such as manufacturing medical devices and equipment, medicines, e-health, and others. This presentation has drawn the attention of the German and European companies’ representatives.
On the sidelines of the Forum, Dr. Al-Sehibani has held a number of meetings with some companies on topics of mutual interest.
It is worth mentioning that this GCC-Germany Business and Investment Forum was organized by the German-Arab Chamber of Industry and Commerce, the Federation of GCC Chambers and the Gulf Research Center. Furthermore, a constellation of consultants and experts in the health sector domain have participated in this Forum, during which many worksheets in the fields of the health sector, health research and the promising health-related investment opportunities have been presented.
