Dr. Al-Rabeeah Approves a Decision Fining Four Health Practitioners in Taif
31 March 2014
His Excellency the Minster of Health, Dr. Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al-Rabeeah, has approved the decision fining as well as taking the administrative punitive actions against four health practitioners (two female physicians and two nurses) working at a hospital affiliated to the Ministry of Health (MOH) in Taif; due to their non-compliance with the medical regulations adopted at health institutions, as well as committing medical mistakes during their treatment of a patient.

This decision comes within the framework of MOH's constant follow-up of the workflow at its health institutions, through the “Patient Safety” program which enables the officials to monitor the serious and negative events at the MOH health facilities and the private health sector. This movement comes also as part of the MOH's developmental steps aimed to promote the performance of staff, improve the services provided for citizens, avoid any shortcomings, and impose punishment against those proven negligent or guilty. Moreover, this decision is issued in line with the MOH's directions aimed to serve patients, gain their satisfaction and maintain their health and safety in order to achieve the MOH motto: “Patient first”.
