Minister of Health Heads the Kingdom's Delegation at the Gulf Health Ministers' Meetings

The Minister of Health, Dr. Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al-Rabeeah heads the kingdom's delegation taking part in the seventy sixth conference of the Health Ministers' Council of the Gulf Cooperation Council states. It is to be held in Kuwait on Rabi' al-awwal 6-7, 1435H, corresponding to January 7-8, 2014.


The official spokesman of the Minister of Health (MOH), Dr. Khalid bin Mohammed Marghlani stated that and added that the delegation includes his Excellency the Deputy Minister for Health Affairs, Dr.   Mansour Hawwas; Deputy Minister for Public Health, Dr. Ziad Memish; Deputy Minister for Supply and Engineering Affairs, Dr. Salah bin Fahad Al-Mazrou'; Supervisor-General of the International Relations General Department, Dr. Afaf bint Samihan Alshimri; Licensing Executive Director of medicine sector- Food and Drug General Authority, Dr. Hajid bin Mohammed Hashan; and Director-General of the Medical Supply General Department, Dr. Ahmed Almisolhi and Mr. Sultan Ala'asaf.


He went on to add that their Excellency health ministers are to discuss at the meeting a number of issues included in the agenda. Among these important issues are combatting the non-communicable diseases, accrediting the cooperative gulf reference centers, fighting smoking, professional health, the Kingdom's request of designating a day for the gulf patient's rights,  guest workers Program, infantile paralysis, Corona Virus, making the Arab Peninsula malaria-free, family medicine in the Arab Republic ofYemen, developing and upgrading work of the Executive Board, unified purchasing tenders; such as pharmaceutical products tender, hospital equipping supply tender, artificial kidney accessories tender, oral and dental care accessories tender, medical laboratory accessories and blood transfusion services tender, cardiovascular surgery and interventional X-ray accessories tender, orthopedic and backbone surgery accessories tender, and medical rehabilitation accessories tender. Also, the meeting is to touch upon issues such as a committee for studying the rules, regulations, and mechanisms of the unified purchasing, central medicinal registration, medicine pricing, financial and administrative affairs such as the Executive Board's budget, depositary credit fund, researches, expanding the premises of the Executive Board, scientific forum on the administrative and financial affairsof the health ministries of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC).
