His Excellency the Vice Minister of Health for Health Affairs, Dr. Mansour Naser Al Howasi has expressed his thanks and gratitude to His Majesty the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz –may Allah preserve his wellbeing- for sponsoring the second International Mass Gathering Medicine Conference, organized by the Ministry of Health (MOH). It will be held in Riyadh on 13-21/9/2013, corresponding to 15-17/11/1434 H. He asserted that this generous gesture embodies the King’s continuous support and interest in the health sector.

Moreover, Dr. Al Howasi mentioned that the Conference is an example of the constant efforts exerted by the MOH to confront novel occurrences, and health emergencies -Allah forbid- that take place during mass gatherings; an example of such is witnessed during the Hajj and Umrah Season. The conference is an endeavor to come up with medical solutions that protect the health of the Saudi and International community.
In the conference, His Excellency the Deputy Minister of Health for Planning and Development, Dr. Mohammad Bin Hamza Khoshaim praised the patronage of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques -may Allah preserve him-. He pointed out that the King’s generous gesture attests to his support and concern for the health sector, as well as his willingness to initiate projects and programs that provide relief for patients. This is within the framework of the National Project for Integrated and Comprehensive Health Care, organized strategically by the MOH considering and focusing on citizen’s and patient’s needs.
Moreover, Dr. Khoshaim stated that the organization of the Conference is a result of the responsibility endured by the MOH and pursuant to His Majesty’s directions to provide healthcare and sustain communal wellbeing. He stressed on the Ministry’s constant, dynamic efforts to improve its preventative and medicinal health programs, as well as mentioning that international experts and specialists from global and western organizations are scheduled to participate.
