As a part of the activities of the summer health awareness campaign carried out by the Ministry of Health (MOH); the Media and Health Awareness Information Center hosts Dr. ‘A'isha bint Muhammad Al-Shammary, a Consultant in the Pediatric Communicable Diseases and Head of the MOH National Expanded Immunization Program, on Thursday 4/6/2013 (corresponding to 25/8/1434H) from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. via the Center’s toll free number: 8002494444 and websites, Facebook and Twitter: @SAUDIMOH; in order to answer all callers’ enquiries, and provide medical tips and guidelines on the importance of fundamental immunizations for children for the prevention against the infectious diseases, the types of vaccinations given in the Kingdom, their causes and their serious complications.
It is noteworthy that the MOH, via the Media and Health Awareness Information Center, hosts an elite selection of consultant physicians from different health sectors all year around, and this is the tenth year running of this program. Within the same vein, the MOH had launched, during the past year through its awareness campaign, the cartoon character (Seoff), thorough which, health awareness messages are broadcasted, coinciding with the summer vacations and travel season. The MOH intends to use the same cartoon character during this summer campaign; by means of implementing several awareness events and activities.
