Dr. Al-Rabeeah Meets the Chairman of the Saudi Food and Drug Authority (SFDA)

His Excellency the Minister of Health, Dr. Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al-Rabeeah, has met at his ministerial office today morning (Wednesday), His Excellency the Chief Executive Officer of the Saudi Food and Drug Authority (SFDA), Dr. Muhammad bin Abdurrahman Al-Mesh'al. During the meeting, both officials have discussed the ways to enhance cooperation between SFDA and the Ministry of Health (MOH). The meeting also discussed the ways of activating the programs targeting medication safety and quality as well as achieving integration with regard to pharmacies and pharmaceutical companies' surveillance.
 
Following the meeting, Dr. Al-Rabeeah said, “Work teams and joint committees have been formed of SFDA and MOH at the level of leaders and supervisory authorities; aiming at achieving the best ways to detect deficiencies in the pharmaceutical practice.”
 
For his part, Dr. Al-Mesh'al expressed his delight for meeting the Minister of Health, describing this meeting as fruitful, saying, “The visit comes within the framework of pushing the march of cooperation between both sides forward, especially their work meets largely in joint points; in an endeavor to provide high-quality medicine, and thus there is large symmetry in the many aspects of performance in MOH and SFDA.”
 
Finally, Dr. Al-Mesha'al has pointed out that the meeting stressed the importance of holding further meetings between the leaders of sides and having consultation with regard to all fields interesting the homeland and the citizen, as well as performing duties in a better way.
