Governor of the Eastern Region to Launch Health Projects Next Thursday

The Governor of Eastern Province, His Royal Highness Prince Saud bin Nayef bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, is to launch a number of health projects in Hafar Al-Batin Province on Thursday 16/5/2013, corresponding to 6/7/1434 H, with a total cost of more than SR 1 billon; in the presence of the Minister of Health, Dr. Abdullah bin AbdulAziz Al Rabeeah, as well as the Director General of the Eastern Region Health Affairs and a number of MoH officials.
 
That was demonstrated by The Director General of Hafar Al-Batin Health Affairs, Mr. Mutlaq Al Khamáli. He pointed out that the visit of His Royal Highness the Governor of Eastern Region comes in accordance with the directives of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, the Crown Prince and the Second Deputy – may Allah protect them; in order to inspect services in Regions and provide all that's requirements for improving services, to insure the well-being of citizens in this generous country.
 
The Director General of Hafar Al-Batin Health Affairs stated that the projects that will be launched by His Royal Highness are divided into two sections; one is inauguration of projects that include Hafar Al-Batin Central Hospital with 200-bed capacity, Maternity and Children Hospital with 300-bed capacity, Al-Saiera Hospital with 50-bed capacity, Hafar Al-Batin Health Affairs Directorate Building, 6 primary healthcare centres, Diabetes Center in King Khaled General Hospital, and improving the convalescence hospital and rehabilitation center. The other section has to do with future projects, which are 5 health centres, launching residential buildings for the Central Hospital, Maternity and Children Hospital and Al-Saiera Hospital.
 
Furthermore, Al Khamáli added that these good projects stem out of the Government’s concern, the directives of the Governor of Eastern Province and with the follow up of the Minister of Health to provide a comprehensive healthcare for those who need it in Hafar Al-Batin and offer curative and preventative health services in each region inclusively, based on studies; in order to reach equity in terms of distributing healthcare services in all the Kingdom’s regions equally.
