Dr. Kushasim Thanks the Leader for Inaugurating King Mohammad Bin AbdulAziz Hospital in Riyadh

His Excellency the Vice Minister of Health for Planning and Development, Dr. Mohammad Bin Hamza Khoshaim, has extended his thanks to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Abdullah bin AbdulAziz, His Royal Highness the Crown Prince, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense, Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and the Second Deputy Prime Minister, Prince Muqrin bin AbdulAziz Al Saud, may Allah protect them. That is on the occasion of the patronage of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques for the inauguration of King Mohammad Bin AbdulAziz Hospital in Riyadh that will be held next Sunday, 28/4/2013, corresponding to 18/6/1434H. He appreciated the Leaders’ generous support for the provision of the comprehensive healthcare services to citizens.
 
Moreover, Dr. Kushaim emphasized that the huge financial revenues allocated for health services embody the Leaders’ constant support to develop health services in all the Kingdom’s regions. He pointed out that this generous patronage comes within the framework of the unlimited support of the wise Leaders: the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz, His Crown Prince and the Second Deputy Prime Minister- may Allah save them for the Ministry of Health. This hospital is deemed to be a quantum leap in quality and quantity in terms of curative and preventative health services offered by the Ministry to citizens and residents in all Kingdom’s regions and provinces. It will add more beds and health services at its four levels.
 
Dr. Kushaim pointed out that the Ministry of Health is currently witnessing a developmental paradigm shift for the purpose of promoting and qualifying health services, in a way that meets the aspirations of the Leaders and the needs of citizens and patients to gain their satisfaction. In the same vein, the Ministry has launched its ten-year strategic plan for (1430-1440H), as well as the National Project for Integrated and Comprehensive Health Care aiming at providing healthcare and distributing it insuring equality, inclusiveness and accessibility.
 
Furthermore, Dr. Khushaim stated that King Mohammad Bin AbdulAziz Hospital in Riyadh is within those plans. The Hospital compromises 5 stories, which include the following: a surgical ward having 15 surgical digital rooms, 10 main rooms, 4 one-day surgery rooms, one emergency surgery room, x-ray ward, advanced diagnostic radiology devices such as MRI, CT-Scan, mammogram (mammo) and other devices. In addition, the hospital has the emergency section including 36 beds; as it is one of the biggest emergency sections at a regional level, laboratory and blood bank units, intensive care units, burn units accommodating 102 beds, 85 outpatient clinics, dialysis unit that comprises 52 chairs, as well as an integrated ward for rehabilitation and physiotherapy.
