The First Digestive Tract Endoscopic Surgery Conducted at Mina Al-Jesr Hospital

   The first digestive tract endoscopic surgery was conducted at the intensive care unit of Mina Al-Jesr hospital on 8th Dhul-Hijja, for a pilgrim who had a bleeding in the upper digestive tract. The bleeding was stopped and now the patient is in good condition.
 
The Director of Mina Al-Jesr Hospital, Dr. Ahmed Abdulmalik said the hospital has total 187 beds, 36 of which for emergencies, 39 for intensive care, two for quarantine, 66 for internal treatment and 40 at the surgery department, plus four renal dialysis devices.

He said the Ministry of Health had equipped the hospital with the latest devices and the hospital is now fully operational. The hospital, he added, is ready to provide excellent services to pilgrims, where a delivery room, two operating theatres and two digestive tract and respiratory tract endoscopies exist.

Dr. Abdulmalik said His Excellency the Minister of Health, Dr. Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al-Rabeeah, gave instructions for setting up three quarantine tents at the hospital equipped with the latest technology and filters.
