An Oncologist to Answer Oncology-related Questions Tomorrow through the Toll-Free Number

   Within the framework of the Summer Health Awareness Program, presented by the MOH Media Information and Health Awareness Center, the center continues to interview a constellation of the renowned physicians and specialists. Tomorrow, May 30th, 2012, the center will have Dr. Umm Al-Khair Abul-Khair, an oncologist. From 10 am to 12 pm, she will be talking about the different types of tumors. She will shed light on the causes leading up to breast cancer, and the importance of early detection of tumors, especially breast cancer. She will also explain how to perform self-examination, enumerate the types of cancer, and show ladies how the mammogram is conducted inside the mobile unit.
 
Moreover, Dr. Umm Al-Khair will explain the essential warning signs and symptoms of breast cancer, through conducting self-examination once a month, taking into consideration that breast cancer is one of the commonest cancers around the world. Preemptive and early detection of this disease offers more therapeutic options, thus raising the cure rate by 97%.
 
Besides, Dr. Umm Al-Khair will highlight the efforts exerted by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, represented by its Ministry of Health (MOH), with the aim to eradicated breast cancer, by opening more and more clinics for early and preemptive detection at a number of the Kingdom's hospitals, and receiving those willing to undergo the examination over the week. The Ministry has also taken substantial steps towards spreading the culture of breast-cancer early detection among the society members, especially women. Meanwhile, it has always emphasizing the importance of cooperation among women and girls to protect themselves against this disease. Dr. Umm Al-Khair Abul-Khair will be receiving oncology-related questions and questions and provide apt answers for them.
