A Training Course for Medical Records Officials and Supervisors

The Hospitals General Department at the Ministry of Health, in cooperation with the Training and Scholarship General Department, has organized a training course titled “Developing the Skills of Medical Records Officials and Supervisors”. The course took place on 17th - 21th March, 2012.
Moreover, Director General for Hospitals, Dr. Abdul Aziz Hamed Al Ghamdi, clarified that the five-day course was attended by medical records officials and supervisors from several regions; Riyadh, Eastern region, Al-Jouf, Al-Qassim, Tabuk, Northern Borders, and Al-Qurayyat.
Furthermore, Dr. Al-Ghamdi added that the course aims to introduce the participants with the developmental steps in the Medical Records Division in the Hospitals General Department, train them on technical and administrative tasks at the Division, introduce them with the latest in the health information field, and exchange experiences among the participants. In addition, the course aims to overcome obstacles and difficulties, and suggest solutions to them according to the internal and external accreditation standards. This course comes within the framework of the strategic plan to improve medical records departments in the MOH. In addition, workshops were given on the sidelines of the course.
Dr. Al-Ghamdi pointed out that the course was given by highly experienced and specialized trainers and lecturers in the field of medical records.
