Minister of Health Issues a Number of Resolutions to Speed up the Preparation and Operation of 3 Hospitals

   In line with the Ministry of Health's ongoing efforts to speed up the procedures of preparing and operating 3 hospitals (in eastern and southern Riyadh and northern Jeddah) within the coming months, His Excellency the Minister of Health, Dr. Abdullah Bin AbdulAziz Al Rabeeah, has issued several resolutions, including assigning Dr. Saleh Bin Ali Al Aqeel to work as the Executive Director of Prince Mohammed bin Abdulaziz Hospital, in eastern Riyadh, and Dr. Khalid bin Ahmed Qushmaq as the Executive Director of Northern Jeddah Hospital.
 
His Excellency has also assigned Dr. Atiq Bin Mohammed Al Qarni to work as the Director of Southern Riyadh Hospital, and Dr. Sulaiman bin Abdullah Al Kharashi as the Medical Director of Prince Mohammed bin Abdulaziz Hospital.
 
The Ministry of Health is keen to support these health facilities with highly qualified cadres in order to serve patients, achieving the objectives of the Ministry toward improving its services. Prince Mohammed bin Abdulaziz Hospital, eastern Riyadh, and Northern Jeddah Hospital will provide advanced third-level services for the patients; as they contain specialized centers and departments. In addition, Southern Riyadh Hospital is considered one of the new general hospitals with a total bed capacity of 200 beds.
 
Moreover, Prince Mohammed bin Abdulaziz Hospital, in eastern Riyadh, stands at an area of more than 120.000 m2, while Northern Jeddah Hospital stands at an area of more than 150.000 m2. Both hospitals are considered general hospitals with a total bed capacity of 500 beds, which is a qualitative addition to the hospitals affiliated to the Ministry, serving the people of Riyadh and Jeddah. Furthermore, the 2010 JCI Accreditation Standards for Hospitals, which is one of the best specifications that meet the needs of the beneficiaries, was taken into consideration during the design and construction of the hospitals. Each hospital includes a main building providing all the various medical services, in addition to a building for outpatient and emergency services.
