Abu-Ghazalah Named Director General of Health Centers Affairs, Al-Omari as Director General of Awareness and Health Promotion

His Excellency the Vice Minister of Health, Mr. hamad bin Muhammad Al-Doweila‘, has issued a resolution mandating Dr. Fouad bin Nabil Abu-Ghazaleh to assume the tasks and responsibilities as the Director General of Health Centers Affairs, and Dr. Fahd bin Abdurrahman Al-Omari as the Director General of Awareness and Health Promotion. For their parts, the assigned officials have extended their thanks and appreciation to both the Minister of Health and the Vice Minister for such precious trust, hoping to be at the good expectation of everyone and contribute to supporting and developing the health services to meet the satisfaction of all parties.
 
It is worth mentioning that Dr. Fouad Abu-Ghazaleh got Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) degree from King Khalid University (KKU) in Abha, and holds the Saudi and the Arab fellowships of family medicine. He served as the Assistant Vice Director for Public Health at Riyadh Health Affairs Directorate, and supervised the Quality and Accreditation Program at the Public Health Department in the aforementioned directorate. Besides, he worked as a Supervisor of the Supportive Supervision Program related to the primary health care centers inside and outside the city of Riyadh. He also supervised the advisory family medicine centers in Riyadh, in addition to being a member of the Executive Council of Public Health in Riyadh Health Affairs Directorate.
 
As for Dr. Fahad Al-Omari, he is a holder of MBBS degree from King Saud University (KSU), the Saudi fellowship of family medicine and the Arab Board of Family Medicine (ABFM). He served as the Director of the National Osteoporosis Control Programme (NOCP) and the Director of the National Cancer Control Programme (NCCP). He currently works as a Consultant of Family Medicine in primary clinics, and has many activities in promoting awareness and public health, as well as activating the world health events in the Kingdom. Moreover, he has some initiatives in the early detection of chronic diseases and health promotion programs, most recently an initiative of early detection of osteoporosis and an initiative of early detection of colon cancer, in addition to his volunteering activities in the field of health awareness on several occasions.
