Prince Muqrin to Lay the Foundation of King Faisal Specialist Hospital Project Next Tuesday

On behalf of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, May Allah protect him, His Royal Highness the Second Deputy Prime Minister and Chancellor and Special Envoy to the King, Prince Muqrin bin Abdulaziz, is to lay, under the auspices of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, the foundation stone of King Faisal Specialist Hospital and Research Center in its new location (north of Jeddah), next Tuesday, April 30, 2013.
 
This announcement has been made by His Excellency Dr. Abdullah bin Abdulaziz al-Rabeeah, the Minister of Health and Chairman of the Board of Directors of King Faisal Specialist Hospital and Research Center. He said, “On my own account, and on behalf of all the employees of King Faisal Specialist Hospital and Research Center, as well as the health sector staff, I would like to extend deepest thanks and gratitude to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, His Royal Highness the Crown Prince, and His Royal Highness the Second Deputy Prime Minister, May Allah protect them, for their keen interest in, and generous support of the health sector. I am quite sure such gracious efforts will bear their fruit soon, in a way that gives rise to health services, fulfills the citizens' aspirations, meets their health needs, and achieves the desired objectives preset for health services.”
 
“It is worth mentioning,” added Dr. al-Rabeeah, “King Abdullah had given his directions towards the allocation of a parcel as spacious as 2.000.000 m2 in the vicinity of King Abdulaziz International Airport for establishing King Faisal Specialist Hospital and Research Center – Jeddah. The tender of the project was awarded to a national company, at a total cost of SR 1.770.420.638.56. The project comprises a 650-bed capacity hospital, as a first stage, including 150 ICU beds, 30 big operation theatres, 16 small operation theatres, 90 one-day-surgery beds, 50 dialysis units, and 32 clinical beds.”
 
Dr. Al-Rabeeah concluded his announcement by praying for Allah to protect the Leader of the Kingdom, and perpetuate its security and stability.
