His Excellency the Minister of Health, Dr. Abdullah Bin Abdul Aziz Al Rabeeah, recently announced that the Ministry is studying a proposal for establishing a Patient Safety Training Center. The meeting was held in HE’s office at the Ministry and was also attended by a number of Ministry deputies and officials. The aim of his visit was to discuss the means to furthering cooperation in various fields of patient safety at the national, Gulf, regional and global levels.
Dr. Al Rabeeah said the institute will introduce the concept of patient safety to health practitioners and raise awareness in all of the Kingdom’s health sectors. The Ministry of Heal this keen to benefit from the experiences of Sir Liam Donaldson at the WHO and in England. The MOH plans to study various means for enhancing patient safety programs in the Ministry of Health and other health facilities.
