Minister of Health HeadsThe 2nd Consultative Meeting of MOH Officials

​While heading the 2nd consultative meeting of MOH officials last Wednesday in Dammam,the Minister of Health, Dr. Abdullah Bin Abdul Aziz Al Rabeeah, expressed his praise for the recent Royal Decrees and their support of the Ministry of Health's budget.

The Decrees allocate SR 16 billion to implement and expand medical cities and hospitals in different regions of the Kingdom.

This generous gesture shows the support and concern of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdul Aziz, His Crown Prince and the Second Deputy for the development of the health sector.

The additional funding will provide vital support to the projects and programs that serve patients needs through the MOH’s Integrated and Comprehensive National Healthcare Project.
 
Dr. Al Rabeeah indicated that the five medical cities mentioned in the Royal Decree will be added to the health services system, and will provide fourth-level services.  The additional funding will allow for a quantum leap in the level of healthcare in our beloved Kingdom.

MOH has adopted the slogan of “Patient First,” reaffirming the fact that caring for patients is one of the MOH’s highest priorities.
His Excellency urged everyone to commit to the principles of transparency and integrity in line with the Integrity and Anti-Corruption Commission. The MOH is committed to development according to systematic scientific principles combined with innovation in planning and implementation.
Dr. Al Rabeeahalso stressed the importance of recognizing employee rights, training and scholarship rights in particular,in addition to the Saudization. All employees should implement the principle of the scientific group work within the general framework of the Ministry's directions.
Dr. Al Rabeeah stated that we must overcome obstacles, operate completed hospitals and commit to the Standard Drug Listand their availability in all health service providers and MOH facilities. He also announced that the Royal Decrees included a huge support to the ICU beds across the Kingdom with an amount of SR 540 million.
His Excellence included his speech by emphasizing on concentrating on the primary health care.

Primary health carehas achieved a lot of accomplishments to enhance health indicators in terms of vaccinations and maternal and child health care.During the upcoming period, MOH will focus on improving treatment and preventative services. Many MOH officials support Primary health care by providing it with all of the resources, equipments and programs needed to provide high quality health services to the patients and fulfill MOH expectations.
