Crown Prince Thanks the Minister

Crown prince Sultan Bin Abdul Aziz Al Saud, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Defense and Aviation and Inspector General of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia communicates his thanks to the Ministry of Health, Dr. Abdullah Al Rabeeah and Ministry's staff on the annual report(2009) for contagious and parasitism diseases. 
 
Crown Prince wrote in his thanks letter: "we would like to communicate our thanks and recognition to your Excellence and the Ministry's staff for your great efforts in combating contagious and parasitism diseases. Asking Allah health and wiliness to all. In the year 2009, the Kingdom's regions witnessed a significant decline in 11 disease resulted from providing vaccinations, where the Diphtheria rates declined to 0 per 100.000 people, 0.10 for Pertussis, 0.02 for Tetanus, 0.32 for  Measles, 0.05 for German measles and  19.78 for Hepatitis-B. In addition of the reduction in Tuberculosis rates, where it declined to 15.6 per 100.000 people. Aids diagnoses rates reduced to 5% from last year. The infection rates of malaria reached 0.43 per 100.000 people compared to 0.46 the previous year.  Bilharzia rates reduced to 0.3% compared to 0.6 % from last year.
 
Visceral leishmaniasis recorded incidence of 0.07 per 100.000 people compared to 0.13 last year. The Ministry of Health sent a copy to the report to his Hines. this report which includes statistics analysis received from regions of the Kingdom about the most important parasitic and infectious diseases compared with last year, demonstrates the existence of a significant reduction in most of these diseases compared to the year 2008 and ensures the great efforts in combating these diseases presented by the Ministry of Health.   
 
His Excellence added in his letter that these statistics reveilles rates of infections and the great efforts of combating diseases. Also show the disparity between Kingdom's regions based on diseases existence and the needed vaccines, medicines and equipment. In addition of spreading health awareness in all regions, as well as the importance of reporting infections rates.
