Minister of Health: The Budget Includes General, Specialized, Psychiatric Hospitals

​Minister of Health, Dr. Abdullah Bin Abdul Aziz AL Rabeeah expressed his gratefulness to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdul Aziz and His Crown Prince and the Second Deputy for their great support toward health services in order to provide comprehensive health care to citizens all over the Kingdom. Dr. AL Rabeeah stated in a press conference regarding the announcement of the new fiscal year 1432-1433 budget that this generous support had a great influence in enhancing health facilities performance level and contributed in improving health care expenditure on an international level.

Moreover, he mentioned that this generous budget allocated a great share to health services. In which MOH is going to complete a number of health projects in different regions of the Kingdom. That is according to the health strategy and the framework of the national project for integrated and comprehensive health care which aims to shift the focus from hospital-based health system to the needs of the service benefiter in order to enable him to get a continuum of preventive, promotive, diagnostic, therapeutic and rehabilitative services. The budget will include general, specialized, psychiatric and maternity and children's hospitals in addition to diabetic and dental centers, regional laboratories and blood banks, information technology projects and combating infections programs.

He added that this generous budget includes the completion of initial health care centers project kingdom wide, where a forth batch of 382 centers will be added this year to have a total of 1392 ongoing projects in addition to next year budget projects.

Dr. AL Rabeeah has also pointed out that this year generous budget will contribute in implementing leadership directions regarding providing comprehensive health care to all citizens in all regions and achieving MOH health service vision and plans aiming to serve citizens and provide them with comprehensive high quality health services that is based on international and national standards.
