Ministry of Municipal and Rural Affairs Deputy Mr. Abdul Rahman bin Abdul Mohsen Al Mansour assured that the Ministry is participating in the Conference of Mass Gatherings medicine, currently held in Jeddah, by presenting two worksheets. The Ministry Deputy and the Central Administration of Development Projects Manager presented a worksheet regarding one of the Ministry's projects; Makkah metro and jamaraat bridge project. While the other one was presented by the Secretary of the Holy City, Dr. Osama AL Bar where he mentioned the Ministry of Municipal and Rural Affairs efforts in environmental sanitation, food control and fighting pathogenic in general.
Al Mansour stated that this participation embodies the efforts and responsibilities of the Ministry through its membership in the Hajj Higher Committee, and Hajj Central Committee in addition to its responsibilities regarding the municipal services in Makkah and the holy places.
Moreover, he clarified that the Ministry each year evaluate and develop its services and set up plans to provide services to pilgrims. The Ministry present its Hajj plans and projects to the higher committee to accredit it. These plans are based on programs that will benefit human gatherings more. Mr. Al Mansour added that holding this conference before Hajj season will be beneficial in handling these mass gatherings and in cooperating with other related sectors.
