Arabic health ministers to discuss swine flue in Riyadh

The Executive Office of the Council of Arab Health Ministers is to hold an emergency meeting in Riyadh today Tuesday 10/05/1430.
 
On the occasion, the Minister of Health and President of the Executive Office of the Council of Arab Health Ministers raised his gratitude to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and His Highness the Heir to the Throne for their kind approval to host the meeting. "This approval represents the central role played by the Kingdom in coordinating Arabic, regional, and international efforts in the different fields", he said.
 
He said the meeting will discuss the latest developments concerning the spreading of swine flue as well as coordinating the Arabic efforts for confronting the disease, hoping the meeting will come out with resolutions and recommendations that help in unifying the efforts taken for preventing entry of the virus to the countries of the region.
 
The Executive Office of the Council of Arab Health Ministers includes the memberships of Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Syria, Jordan, Algeria, Bahrain, Qatar, and UAE. It is designated for a number of tasks, including emergency measures for confronting certain events and taking actions for providing health information to needy member states.
