The Minister of Health Dr. Abdullah bin Abdul Aziz Al-Rabeeah met at his office yesterday a delegation of experts in non contagious diseases from the World Health Organization (WHO), headed by WHO Assistant Director General Dr. Ala Alwan.
The meeting reviewed the project of merging diabetic primary health care with the primary health care as a pioneering project aiming at preventing diabetics in the Kingdom. A workshop shall be convened on this vital project for creating policies and work procedures for health workers at primary health care centers.
The meeting also reviewed the tobacco combating program and discussed the ways for joint cooperative work in preparation for a program and a national plan for preventing infections.
The meeting was attended by the Assistant Deputy Minister for Preventive Medicine Dr. Khalid Al-Zahrani.
