The MOH Hajj Preparatory Committees Chairman Dr Rida M. Khalil headed yesterday the 8th meeting of the Hajj Preparatory Committees which was held at the MOH premises in Riyadh. The meeting discussed the yearly training plan for all physicians and technicians participating in the 1428 Hajj season.
The Official Speaker of the Ministry of Health Dr. Khalid M. Al-Marghalani said the training plan concentrates mainly on preventive programs and the diseases which are common during Hajj seasons. The meeting discussed also the plan of training technicians working in critical units such as the ICU and Emergency as well as training of administrative manpower working during the Hajj season.
The meeting covered also the developmental projects carried out in the sacred shrines, especially development of Jabal Al-Rahma hospital, which is of great importance due to its location near Jabal Al-Rahma. According to Dr. Al-Marghalani an amount of SR37.9 million has been allotted for the development costs of this hospital. The Sacred Capital Directorate of Health has taken into consideration the importance of establishing a site for solar attacks and fatigues occurring from high temperature, especially as it is expected that the Hajj period will occur during the hot seasons in the coming years.
The meeting was convened in line with the preparations of the Ministry of Health to provide the best health services to the pilgrims of the 1428 season.
