HRH Princess Sarrah bint Massaed bin Abdul Aziz hailed the MOH strategy of "A family doctor for each family), denoting that the strategy will raise the Kingdom to the status of advanced countries in providing quality health services. She hoped such a noble objective will be a reality in availability of required budgets and capable Saudi manpower. She stressed the importance of the role of media in revealing the great role of the family doctor to the community.
Addressing the women evening program during the Sixth GCC Conference on Primary Health Care, she welcomed the proposal of allotting a national day for family and community medicine, confirming it will promote awareness among the community with respect to the role of family medicine.
She appreciated the success of the women program, the valuable discussions, and the ideas and experiences exchanged between Saudi doctors and their GCC counterparts.
