Kingdom and Egypt agree on a number of health policies

The Egyptian Minister of Health Dr. Hatim Al-Jabali confirmed in the press conference held yesterday, together with the Minister of Health Dr. Hamad Al-Mane, at King Fahad Medical City, that the joint talks discussed the ways for cooperation in the field of health between the two countries. Other important issues have also been discussed, including drug registration and prices, health insurance, cooperation in recruiting Egyptian doctors to work in the Kingdom, and combating epidemic diseases such as avian flue.
 
He said the meetings discussed also cooperative work through intensifying and diversifying the rehabilitation programs held at the Egyptian National Institute for Training, with special concentration on the specialties required by MOH. The meetings discussed also the issue of cooperation for recruiting doctors and technical health staff from Egypt. A number of other important issues have also been discussed including the opinion of the Egyptian Ministry of Health regarding the project of refunding treatment costs in Egypt, drug registration in the two countries, exchanging experience for improving the health sectors in the two countries, investment opportunities in the health sectors of both countries, and ways of cooperation for combating epidemics such avian flue.
 
The Minister of Health Dr. Hamad Al-Mane also confirmed that the two sides have agreed on a number of important issues and that the visit has added to the deep relationship between the two countries.
