Strategic solutions for cooperation have been set, says the Egybtian Minister of helth

The Egyptian Minister of Health Dr. Hatem Al-Jabali said his talks with the Saudi Minister of Health Dr. Hamad Al-Mane included drug prices, purchasing medical appliances as well as cooperation in recruiting Egyptian doctors, specialists and nurses to work in the Kingdom under certain terms. He said strategic solutions have been set for cooperative work between the two countries.
 
"Joint investments in the health field shall be carried out through the Saudi Arabian General Investment Authority", he said "The problems faced by Saudi investors within the health sector in Egypt have been solved. A joint committee has been formed for following application of agreed solutions".
 
As regarding cooperation in the field of forensic medicine, the Egyptian Minister of Health said forensic medicine in Egypt belongs to the Ministry of Justice rather than the Ministry of Health, but he said he is ready to coordinate in this regard.
 
He appreciated the arrangements made by the Kingdom for facing the challenge of avian flue, describing the arrangements as serious.
 
He said the meetings also discussed the evaluation test carried out by the Saudi Arabian Authority for Health Specialties for testing Egyptian doctors.
 
The Minister of Health Dr. Hamad Al-Mane also confirmed that the two sides have agreed on a number of important issues. He said cooperation between the two countries is deeply rooted and that the Kingdom prefers enlarging the fields of cooperation.
