The Minister of Health Dr. Hamad Al-Mane lead the Kingdom delegation to the meetings of the 60th session of the World Health Organization which will be held at the UN headquarters in Geneva, Switzerland during the period from 27/04/1428 to 06/05/1428. The delegation includes MOH Undersecretary for Executive Affairs Dr. Mansour Al-Hawasi, MOH Assistant Undersecretary for Preventive Medicine Dr. Khalid Al-Zahrani, and a number of MOH Officials.
A number of topics are scheduled to be discussed in the meetings, including the reports of the Executive Council regarding its 128th and 129th sessions, avian flue pandemic, application of the International Health Regulations of the year 2005, eradication of smallpox, and combating leishmaniasis.
Other topics include poliomyelitis, malaria, effects of alcohol drinking, prevention of non sexually transmitted diseases, mouth health, mother and child care, boosting health in the era of globalization, labour health, and health Information technology.
The agenda also includes the health situation in occupied Palestine and cooperation among national, regional and international organizations.
