The GCC Council of Ministers of Health holds 61st meeting

The Executive Committee of the Council of GCC Ministers of Health shall hold its 61st meeting in its headquarters in Riyadh during the period from 2 to 4 April, 2007, said Dr. Tawfeeq Khoja, the General Manager of the executive office. He said the meeting shall discuss a number of issues, including electronic linking of GCC information centers to the Council of GCC Ministers of Health. Other issues include the executive plan for combating diabetes in light of the status quo and achievements realized. Further issues include the quality of health care, patient safety, the GCC Unified Guide for Combating Infections, and the UAE Declaration for Launching the Patient Friend Health Facilities Initiative.
 
A number of other issues shall also be discussed, including combating heart diseases, medicine based on proofs and reference centers, the GCC international health survey for hereditary diseases, caring elders, preventive officials, nursery services, mouth and teeth health, medicines, medical equipment, central medicinal registration, and pharmacy caring. In addition the meeting shall discuss the arrangements of 63rd conference of the Council of the GCC Ministers of Health, which is scheduled to be held in Geneva during June 2007.
 
Dr. Khoja expressed his hope that the meeting shall yield recommendations and results that meet the ambitions of the GCC ministers of health.
