The Ministry of Health has announced the outcomes of the electronic consultation launched on 23 June 2025, aimed at engaging the community, experts, and healthcare practitioners in setting priorities to enhance services for persons with disabilities. This initiative supports the “Health Sector Transformation” program under Saudi Vision 2030, promoting inclusive access and comprehensive healthcare.
The consultation resulted in key recommendations, including incorporating the “Universal Accessibility” project into the Ministry’s executive plans to improve healthcare facility environments and facilitate movement and navigation. It also recommended upgrading health application interfaces to ensure better digital accessibility for persons with disabilities and expanding the services of Seha Virtual Hospital to include consultations tailored for individuals with hearing impairments through sign language support.
The consultation gathered input from the public, experts, persons with disabilities, and healthcare practitioners to prioritize development initiatives. The outcomes aim to improve service quality and efficiency, advance digital transformation, and expand inclusive healthcare. Beneficiaries also include educational institutions, associations, and government entities, ensuring coordinated efforts and broader partnerships to provide more accessible and effective healthcare services.
