MOH Announces Training Opportunities for Its Doctors in the UK
The Ministry of Health (MOH) has concluded an executive agreement with the British Health Education England (HEE) to train its doctors at British health facilities within the framework of the British public health system.
 
The agreement aims at giving Saudi doctors similar high quality clinical training that is given to British doctors under the umbrella of the International Postgraduate Medical Training Scheme (IPGMTS).
The Training and Scholarships General Department is pleased to announce that a number of training opportunities are available for the MOH's doctors in the UK. At the end of the training, the trainees will obtain a Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT) in the following medical specialties:
 
• Emergency Medicine.
• Anesthesia.
• Critical care: pediatrics, neonatal and adult.
• Rehabilitation and Physical medicine.
• Oncology: Pediatrics and adults (medicine).
• Surgery: general surgery, trauma surgery, vascular surgery, oncology surgery and surgical critical care.
• Ophthalmology.
 
To join these programs:
• Applicants are required to register via the website of the General Medical Council (GMC): http://www.gmc-uk.org
Duration of training courses ranges between three to eight years, according to the requirements of each specialty.
Doctors who are willing to apply should carefully read the attached file, so as to get acquainted with details of the program's details, admission requirements and the documents required for the application. Please visit the GMC's website.
 
• All IPGMTS trainees will be awarded a certificate of completion of training (CCT).
 
The GMC registered doctors can apply by sending a message to Scholarship-uk@moh.gov.sa from their ministry's official emails and attaching copies of the required documents.
