Based on the directives of His Excellency the Vice Minister of Health for Planning and Development to enumerate and correct the functional structure at the Ministry of Health (MOH), the Workforce Planning General Department has commenced enumerating MOH's functional structure as a first stage, through a plan made up of several pillars. These pillars include enumerating the actual MOH departments (the employer), preparing forms of personnel data, and developing a computerized program on the workforce in all actual departments, depending on the functional structure, job type (first type/self-employment) and the current employer.
It is worth mentioning that all obstacles and troubles facing the implementation of the plan have been overcome, by the grace of Allah in the first place, then by the mutual cooperation among all MOH departments, with the aim to achieve the enumeration process with the required accuracy and during a appropriate period of time.
Furthermore, one of the most important outcomes of the enumeration process was the development of a database on the workforce, which can be updated in accordance with clear and applicable policies and procedures. The outcomes showed also the necessity to review the mechanism of mandate and develop policies and procedures aiming to monitor the mandated employees.
The Workforce Planning General Department, Allah Willing, will implement its plan, i.e. the enumeration of MOH functional structure, during this year all over the Kingdom’s regions.
