MOH Announces Health Innovation Contest
In line with the latest medical advancements witnessed nowadays, the Ministry of Health (MOH) has launched the “Health Innovation Contest” in cooperation with: King Fahd Medical City, King Saud Medical City, Badir for Biotechnology, Riyadh Valley Company for technology, and King Abdullah International Medical Research Center. To apply for the contest, terms and requirements are published on the contest’s website: Healthcare Innovation
 
The last date for application for the contest is 15/7/2013, (corresponding to 7/9/1434H; given that, the winners of awards will be announced on Wednesday 14/12/2013, (corresponding to 11/2/1435H. The awards will be given during the Saudi Health Innovation Conference.
 
It is worth mentioning that the contest aims at implanting and supporting the culture of innovation in the healthcare sector. The contest offers support to innovative and ambitious projects that offer innovative solutions for healthcare obstacles. In addition, the contest urges individuals and the various sectors to present creative, innovative and applicable ideas that lead to improving and developing the healthcare in the Saudi Arabia.
Cash awards of SR 1 million are allocated, and distributed on 4 sectors, which are as follows: e-health and intelligent hospital, medical devices, biotechnology, as well as the healthcare and health education and training.
 
The program of the contest encompasses 3 stages. Firstly, the registration, and ideas evaluation, followed by the announcement of winners qualified for the next stage. Then, the ideas will be submitted to the scientific committee after training the qualifiers on the idea presentation skills. Afterwards, the winners qualified for the third stage will be announced, during which the final presentation of ideas will be submitted to an investment committee. Finally, the winners will be announced.
