- Promote regular dental checkups.
Facts:
- The most impactful oral diseases affecting public health and quality of life include tooth decay, severe gum disease, and tooth loss.
- More than half of children aged 6–8 have decay in at least one primary tooth.
- More than half of adolescents aged 12–19 have decay in at least one permanent tooth.
- Smoking and diabetes are major risk factors for gum disease.
