Overview:
Response time is one of the most effective elements in saving lives of patients, as quoted from Qura'an: {and whoever saves one, it is as if he had saved mankind entirely} [Surah Al-Ma'idah: 32]. The World First Aid Day aims to raise public awareness of how first aid can save lives in crisis situations. The International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies believe that first aid should be accessible to all. It should also be an integral part of community development. Therefore, the IFRC launched the World First Aid Day in 2000, which is celebrated on the second Saturday of September every year.
