Celiac disease is a medical condition in which the immune system attacks tissues when eating foods containing a food protein known as gluten which is found in three types of grains: wheat, barley, and corn.
Celiac disease includes a group of symptoms, including diarrhea, abdominal pain, and bloating.

- Reported cases of infection are higher in women than men.

- Celiac disease can develop at any age.
