The Celebration Program
1- Conveying the Greetings of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques to All Patients Inside and Outside the Kingdom:
The Minister of Health, Dr. Abdullah Al Rabeeah, MOH deputies and leaders, health affairs directors and hospital managers will visit hospital patients to deliver the greetings of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, along with his wishes for their speedy recovery. Each patient will also receive a letter from the Minister of Health, accompanied by flowers or candy, if available. The supervisor of the Domestic Medicine Program will schedule similar visits to patients in the program, in their own homes, the day after the King’s arrival. These patients, as well as all Saudi patients who are abroad for treatment at the government's expense, will receive the letter, as well.

Praise be to Allah, and may the peace and blessings of Allah be upon the noblest of Prophets and Messengers.
Allah the Almighty says:
“And when I am ill, it is He who cures me.”
The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Abdullah Bin Abdul Aziz, gives me the honor of conveying to you his best wishes for a speedy recovery, with his prayers to Allah that He will reward you with the blessing of good health.

In addition, this letter will also be sent to Saudi patients who went abroad for treatment at the government's expense. Moreover, the supervisor of Domestic Medicine Program will schedule similar visits to the program’s patients in their own houses and hand them the same letter. This event will take place on the next day of the King’s arrival.
 
2- Medical Teams at Malls, Airports and Gathering Places:
 
Medical teams will visit mega-malls, airports and several large foundationsand Chambers of Commerce and Industry headquarters. The team members will carry out an early checkup program, including the measurement of biomarkers for diabetes, blood pressure levels and body mass indexes (BMI). In addition, awareness publications and brochures will be distributed. The General Directorate of Information and Health Awarenesswill also launch a campaign in cooperation with health affairs directorates in all regions.
 
Campaign period: this program will continue for three days, beginning the day after the King’s arrival, from 5-10p.m. daily.
 
3- Medical Teams at Schools in All Regions of the Kingdom:
 
In coordination with the Ministry of Education, medical teams will be sent to primary, elementary and secondary schools in all regions of the Kingdom. The teams will measure health biomarkers and introduce the students to preventive healthcare, including oral and dental health and the importance of good nutrition. In addition, awareness publications and brochures will be distributed.
 
Campaign period ( the events will last for 3 days, starting the next day of the King’s arrival).
 
4- Blood Donation:
 
To honor the occasion of the King’s safe return,the Minister of Health, MOH employees, MOH Divan and health affairs directors and workers will launch a blood donation campaign. The campaign will be called “To a Caring Father We Give Our Blood” and will take place on Sunday 27/2/2011.
 
5- Health Accomplishments in the Reign of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques:
 
 
Two facing pages will be published in all 13 local newspapers(Al Riyadh, AlJazirah, Okaz, AlMadina, Al Nadwa, Al Bilad, AlYoum, Al Watan, Al Eqtisadiah, Shams, Al Hayat, Middle East, andArriyadiyah.) These pages will include greetings to His Highness on the occasion of his safe return, in addition to a summary of the following:
  • Health projects implemented during the King’s reign.
  • Health projects still being implemented.
  • Health projects that are approved but have not yet been launched.
  • Projects adopted by MOH, for example:
    • Patient Relations Program: designed to be a link between MOH and patients to resolve patientsissues and provide them with appropriate healthcare services.
    • Clinical Checkup Program: aims to enhance the overall efficiency of the Kingdom’s healthcare facilities.
    • Health Facilities Credence Program: ensures that healthcare facilities comply with all patient safety and quality standards.
    • Domestic Medicine Program: provides curative, preventive, rehabilitative and health awareness services from qualified medical teams to more than 6,000 patients in their own homes.
    • Bed-Management Program: aims to reach the optimal usage of inpatient beds and one-day surgeries.
6- Special Issue of MOH Bulletins:
 
 
A special issue of MOH bulletins will be released on the occasion of the return of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, in addition to the Health Achievements Report implemented during the King's reign. This report will be supported by graphics and will include current health projects,Ministry programs and the Minister's message on this occasion.
 
7- Publishing the Campaign on the MOH Site:
 
The Ministry's congratulations will be published on the MOH website as a pop-up, along with the campaign slogan:“Our Beloved King…Get Well Soon”.) A special webpage will include the Minister of Health’smessage and the Health Achievements Report (see Section 5, above)
 
8- Informational File:
 
 
An informational file will be issued which includes the same pre mentioned accomplishments (see Section 5).
 
9 - SMS :
 
 
A congratulatory SMS will be sent to the people to mark the occasion of the return of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques.These text messages will be sent through Health Mobile, Area Mobiles, STC, Mobily, Zain, etc. The proposed message is:

The Ministry of Health congratulates the people of the Kingdom of Humanity for his safe return.

10- Activating Toll-free Information Centre:
 
Information and Health Awareness Centre will host a medical consultants from a number of specialties through the Center's Toll Free (8002494444) to answer people's health inquiries. Also, a new campaign, “Your Health is Our Concern," will be launched in cooperation with newspapers and radio stations. These events will last for 3 days starting from the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques arrival day.
 
11- Billboards:
 
"Get Well Soon" billboards will be displayed on the front of all hospitals, Ministry of Health divans and health directorates.
 
12- Media Coverage:
 
 
The above-mentioned mentioned activities will be accompanied by a large-scale, comprehensive media campaign.
