Praise be to Allah, and peace and blessings be upon the seal of the prophets and messengers, our Prophet Muhammad.
I have the honor to extend the most profound thanks and appreciation to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz, may Allah protect him, for the valuable royal confidence he entrusted in me to take over the Ministry of Health (MOH) portfolio. My thanks are extended also to His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Abdul-Aziz, the Crown Prince, Deputy Premier, and Minister of Defense, and to His Royal Highness Prince Muqrin bin Abdul-Aziz, the Deputy Crown Prince, Second Deputy Premier, Adviser and Special Envoy of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, may Allah protect them.
As a matter of fact, the Ministry of Health has made many achievements all of which are in the favor of the country and citizens in light of the march of welfare and development we are experiencing under this prosperous, auspicious reign of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz. As the commander of this development process, he has saved no effort in his quest to ensure prosperity and welfare for the sake of the nation and citizen.
I pray for Almighty Allah to be up to the expectations of the leadership, and to help me contribute to the march of the blessed development, in a manner commensurate with such royal trust, by providing the best health services to serve the people of this beloved country, through this vigorous, substantial institution, thereby fulfilling their aspirations, and upgrading the performance level of our health facilities.
Meanwhile, I call upon my fellow colleagues and MOH employees to stick to teamwork, and exert the utmost efforts to materialize the vision of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques (May Allah bless him) for the advancement of the health sector and providing high-level health services to meet the health needs, and bring into reality the aspirations of the esteemed citizens of this generous country.
