Najran Health Affairs Conducts Over 8,000 Home Visits

​​Najran Health Affairs, during the first third of 2019, conducted over 8,800 home visits to patients registered with the Home Medicine Program (1,003 patients), and 13 medical teams provided them with health and therapeutic service at their homes.​

According to the Affairs, during the same period, 118 patients were registered and 110 served. Also, 108 medical devices were provided to persons with urgent needs, including electric beds, air mattresses, wheelchairs, fixed bath chairs, blood pressure monitors, glucose meters, walk aids, sputum suction devices, oxygen generators and blood oxygen meters.  

The home medicine sections in 8 hospitals have been enhanced with highly qualified medical and nursing staff in the field of home medicine care, as well as vehicles for transporting medical teams. These hospitals are: King Khaled Hospital, new Najran General Hospital, Hbona General Hospital, Sharoura General Hospital, Khabash General Hospital, AL-Janoub Bader General Hospital, Al-Amal Complex for Mental Health and Maternity and Children Hospital. A number of training programs have been implemented to improve the performance of the home medicine staff, develop their practical skills and provide them with the latest developments in home care with the aim of providing high quality services to patients.

It is noteworthy that the cumulative number of patients registered with the program amounted to 2,990 patients since the launch of the program in the region.
