Last January, Makkah hospitals provided its medical and therapeutic services to 31,519 patients, with 16,219 emergencies (11,404 children and 4,815 women), 12,085 outpatients, in addition to 1,867 inpatients. According to Makkah Health Affairs, these hospitals performed 609 surgeries (378 emergencies and 231 scheduled surgeries), in addition to 793 birth cases.
